Bottle at home, from Hippo Beers, 11/06/14. Very lightly hazed golden orange with a well appointed just off white head that stays for the show. Nose is bitter citric peel, light cheese, orange, light grapefruit, straw. Taste comprises weak orange squash, straw, mandarin, fait cheese, lick of grapefruit, light chalky minerals, light biscuit malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop laden grassy bitterness at the curtain call. So so affair, a passable golden blonde, maybe a lower end APA but as an IPA - down right mediocre. Just cos the brewer sticks "IPA" on the label doesn’t mean it should be added as one - it’s only 5.3% and lacks any real hop presence. Miss !

Bottle from Cornelius. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Very light carbonation. Faint carbonation. Aroma of flowers, butterscotch, pineapple, mango and lime. Flavour of sweet tropical fruits with a hint of minerals. The missus thinks it tastes like a Creamola Foam. Thin body with a slick, oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. A nice showcase of one of my favourite hops. My one criticism would be that it’s quite sweet for the style; I prefer IPAs with high bitterness.
