Bottle 750ml. @ [ Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting, Ulfborg ]. [ As By The Horns Deadly Sins Sloth ].Clear dark black brown color with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark roasted, smoke - bonfire. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, malt bitter, roasted, burnt, bonfire - smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140301]

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&Cโs beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Nice bottle - a stubby 750, the most pleasing aspect of this series of beers!!! Black with a well appointed dirty tan head that retains well. Nose is dark berry fruits, earthy, cocoa, baking powder, pretty basic aromas. Taste comprises toffee fudge, lactic notes, soured dark berry fruits, cocoa powder, leather. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Another so so offering in this series!

Bottle, 75cl..A more or less black one, topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. Itโs roasted and quite burnt on the nose, with some toast. Sourish both in the aroma and flavor. Bonfire, roasted malts and some coffee in the flavor. Dryish, medium to full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting roasted and burnt finish. Lacks on complexity and is too one-dimensional this one too. Not sure if the sourness is intentional either. 140301

Bottle at Yesprโs. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is roasted malt, salted liquorice, toast, cocoa, earth, light smoke and bacon frazzles. The taste is roasted malt, toast, milk chocolate, ash, caramel, mild acidity, coffee grinds and touch of spice. Medium+ body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Well rounded and pretty drinkable stuff.
