KØLF 141114. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, smoked, chocolate, grain, bread. Over carbonated beer, but not bad.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2014) Black colour with foamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of freshly ground coffee, cacao and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark bread, cacao and a dry finish with a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced with lots of coffee. Nice one.

Bottle. A huge, creamy, beige head forms over a clear dark reddish brown body. It’s roasted on the nose, not much coffee going on. Bonfire hints. Full body, quite hard carbonation. Roasted, almost burnt flavor, leading to a lasting finish. One dimensional and boring. Too carbonated. Not bad. 141114

Draught@SBWF2014. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toasted and toasted with a bunch of coffee, liquorice as well as some ashes. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, some earth, mild ashes and some chocolaty notes. A bit watery as for the palate, but still a nice brew.

Tap at SBWF2014. Dark brown color, small beige head. Caramel in the nose, light coffee. Light-bodied. Cold coffee, some caramel. Easy.

Pours close to black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt with chocolate, dark fruits and coffee. Moderate sweet with nice roasty flavours and a fairly dry and somewhat bitter finish.

33 cl bottle from Systembolagets Beställningssortiment. Sampled on July 25, 2014.Clear dark brown to black color, big lasting dark brown head. Sweet, roasted, malty, some liquorice scent. Sweet, mixed with dry, roasted, char coal taste. Char coal, roasted aftertaste. MEdium though a bit thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Finding it hard to pick out any coffee.

Appearance: Black colour with a huge beige head.
Aroma: Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee.
Body: Light to medium body, medium carbonation.
Flavour: Coffee, chocolate, dried fruit.
