33 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a huge white head. Dry brett and yeasty aroma with a light spice note. Light bodied. Mild fruity and medium dry brett flavoured. Holds a subdued dryness clearly overdone by a mild fruity note. Mild fruity and delicate finish. Nice brett fruity off flavoured, clearly not as intended but nice.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a huge lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus, wheat, peaches, yeast, and spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of citrus, brettanomyces, and wheat, leading to a lightly tart wheaty finish.

Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma is yeasty, brett and light fruits. Taste was surprising and reminded me more of a saison. Had a good amount of yeast and brett. Fruity - apple with a strong finish of bitter hops.

Sampled from a 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy vibrant golden color with a large soapy white head that lingered forever and produced nice lacing. The aroma was a wonderfully enticing mix of tart, tangy citrus, sugar and jelly. The flavor was tart, lemony and sugary with a lightly yeasty undertone. The middle was tart and bitter yet subtly sweet. The finish was long tart and fruity. Complex, almost mead like. It really reminded me more of a Belgian golden ale rather than a German hefeweizen. Lovely.

Draught, 2009: Wheat malt aroma. Bananas and cloves, rich and slightly cake-like. Cloudy golden color with a too big head. Sweet, rich, banana flavor. Thick palate. A bit cloying. Sweet, spicy, and rich. Good, but a bit too much. Bottle, 2008: 6/4/6/4/13 Bright gold color, a touch of orange. Pretty cloudy, foamy white head, though I had to work to get it. Moderate aroma or yeast and wheat. Some bananas; a touch of cloves or other spices. Not as fragrant as I am used to in the style. Slightly sour wheat flavor. Some hoppy bitterness in the back as well. not a lot of character. A bit of spice and a touch of fruit, but not really all that complex. More hops than usual for the style, I think. Not as good as their belgian White Ale, Iβm afraid.

Bottle from Wine and Cheese place in (near) St. Louis, MO. Hazy golden color with a frothy 2-finger white head. Spicy clove aroma. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is clove and citrus over wheat. Quite stunning. So much so that the banana can be overlooked - seems present though. Finish is clove in the mouth with some citrus bitter/sour around the tongue edges. Lots of flavor in this one.

Bottle. It pours a nice, hazy orange-golden body with a small off-white head. Slightly yeasty nose with some banana and lemon, sweetness and a little bit of cloves. Almost syrupy sweet in the mouth, with some fruity sourness, cloves and banana. Strange, but quite nice, even though itβs far from the regular hefeweizen. Effervescent. Lemony, acidic finish. For a hefeweizen, itβs both very sweet and very sour. Strange but ok-ish. (080509)

Pour is a bright cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty, vanilla and cloves. Do it again in the flavor. Cloves, banana and some vanilla yeast. Finish leaves a bitter citrus on the tounge as the beer goes down. A pretty nice German style made in Japan.
