A beer that is perfect on the Christmastable, or just when waiting for Santa.
Vår julöl är bryggd på sex sorters kornmalt, engelsk humle, amerikansk jäst, mörkt muscovadosocker och naturligtvis Umeås fina vatten. Alttså - en Umeå X-mas Ale.

Can 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque deep brown - borderline black - with a huge, frothy and lacing beige head with good retention. Nose has some molasses, dark dried fruits androastiness. The body is surprisingly thin, again slightly roasty - and then nothing much more. A bit underwhelming, but not unpleasant. 300925

Bottle at Nolia Beer. Opaque black colour, small brownish head. Aroma has licorice, toasted malts, maybe a bit medicinal. Medium-bodied. Licorice, toasted malts, some vegetably notes. Meh.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A dark brown beer with a huge good lasting tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark malt, liquorice, coffee. Taste of dark mild roasted malt, caramel, nuts, red fruits, liquorice, not bad!

Many thanks to Nisse666 for this bottle. Extreme deep and intense nose. The beer starts mild and fresh. Malty roasted parts, hints of sourness and extremely deep but highly drinkable. Fruity hints of prunes and cherries, roasted caramel, fresh and highly drinkable. Great!

Bottled@Bothnia Beer Festival 2017. Coppery black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is fruity, floral and some toasted notes with mild ripe fruitiness as well. Flavour is fruity, wooden, some ashy and mild toasted notes. Simple and straight forward, yet very pleasant.
