Fra kran på Ølhallen. Kullsort. Lavt. litt farget skum. Litt lacing.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14. Dark mahogony brown with a moderately appointed light tan covering that clears to the edge and spotting. Nose is rich dark berry fruits, pine, hoppy tang, cocoa powder. Taste comprises Ribena berries, hop notes, light pine, cocoa powder, not as good as the nose suggested. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate CDA.

Bottle. An almost clear looking dark brown beer topped by a nice beige head. The aroma has some caramel and a light burnt notes, with piney, catpee like hops. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, with the same maltyness found in the aroma. Less catpee and more pine cones. Full-bodied, nicely carbonated and semi-dry. Lasting finish with a good blend of bitterness and malty flavors. A pretty nice one, well worth a revisit. 140207
