Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, liquorice, hops, caramel toffee, roast, candy, marzipan, touch of fruits and booze. Flavour is candied sweetness and medium bitter. Body is medium to full. Heavy on the candy and sweetness with liquorice and toffee. Not bad to sip on.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt syrup, roast and licorice in the aroma and flavor. Sweet with lots of licorice. Very little carbon. Toffee. Not great, but nice and warming.

Semi opaque dark amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft malts, a light creamy sweetness. Whisper of fruity toffee. Bourbon barrel is fairly dominant on the back end. Fruity and a little spicy. Undertone of barrel induced vanilla. Smooth and semi dry finish. Tidy.

Thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een moutige aroma, beetje rogge. De smaak is rogge, caramel en wat bitter.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Black colour, thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, raisins, liquorice, tobacco, hint of peat / salty liquorice. Flavour is sweet, malty, salty liquorice, raisins, some dark fruits, roast, Fisherman's Friend, bitter finish. Medium bodied, slick. Nice.

Hoppy barleywine! Pours hazy and brown, not much carbonation, so not looking too great - but has nice full malty nose with some spices. Boozy milk chocolate. taste has lots of booze and bitterness, bt everything is nicely blended with the overall character of the hop-powered cocoa / chocolate jam. Liking this one quite a lot, top notch!

[ As Van Moll / Tanker Shadow Assassin ].Clear dark brown red colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, dark malt, toasted, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, dried fruit, caramel, toasted, dark malt, alcohol. Bottle. Color: very dark ruby to black, thin beige head. Taste: Very dark roasted malt, licorice, coffee, dark chocolate. Full body, average carbonation. Nice beer to enjoy slowly at a relaxing moment.
