Bottle thanks to the Moncada folks during RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. It pours clear amber with a small bubbly white head. The nose is soft, fruity, caramel and generic stone fruit. The taste is bitter-sweet, pine, tropical fruits, straw, light pepper and grapefruit with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Simple enough APA, but not bad.

Distinctive tea nose. Hazy copper, medium lacy head. Tea and dried leaves flavor, fairly dry, minimal astringency, low bitterness. Mild hop profile, serviceable as an amber, lacking as an APA. Session APA? No, let’s just call this an amber.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance had a decent hazy pale orange color with a one finger white foamy head. It lasted about a good minute before dieing gratefully into the body and left some hanging leftovers of lacing.
The smell had a bright citrusy arrangement of fruits such as light grapefruit, orange, and lemon. Some light caramel malts present themselves as it warms.
The taste was bittersweet all the way through and balances a nice crisp blend of malts to hops.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability allowing just a tad of sharpness on the tongue.
Overall, I say this was a good APA well worthy of having again.
