500ml bottle conditioned: BBD 31st Mar 2017. Poured carefully into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged vase shaped pint glass at home on 28th Oct 2016 during a ratebeer ’Virtual Bar’ session. Looks lovely, clear copper bodied, white head on top. Malts initially rule the roost, slowly however the hops rear their heads and the beer becomes more hop centric and bitter. Fruity notes in the flavour help to transfer the taste from semi-sweet caramel maltiness to grassy hop bitterness, clever stuff.
