The short days and long nights bring this prowling cat out on the town, looking to scatch up some fun with a great beer. This Night Cat is dark in color, bold in hop but not heavy in body. It is full of tropical fruit notes from the Citra hops that combine with a nice dark wheat malt flavor.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 12oz ($2.25): Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is loads of citrus, a bit of pine. This is one of the beers you smell and then offer to others for a sniff. Taste is quite bitter up front. Tropical fruit also some resin are present. There is then the slightest sweet note and a real mildness sweetness that lingers. Pretty nice.

Sample from can at House Beer during the Have Another meeting on 03/09/2014. Dark copper-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, pine and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of fruity wheat, toasted malt and spruce. The finish is fruity with a pine and wheat aftertaste. Decent overall.
