Bottle 330ml. @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland. [ As Hardknott Rhetoric #3 ].Clear medium amber orange color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, spruce - pine, peppery, ginger, syrup, alcohol. Flavour is heavy sweet with a long duration, spruce - pine, ginger, syrup, spicy, alcohol, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20140315]

Re- rate 310316. More tea and pepper up front. Still a bit sweet. Seems stickier. No change. Bottle at Craigโs. Pours clear pale amber, thin white head. Aromas of spice and sugary booziness. Taste is sweet, pepper at the back. Tea comes through eventually. Interesting, bit sweet, but not cloying due to the spice.

Bottle courtesy of Craig at Craigs doing a Chris O tasting, Edingburgh (ta for the beer Craig) Saturday 15th March Rather sweet and very syrupy light amber in colour. Clearly very strong a little heavily swamped drunken orange zest but a bit too much for me. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

bottle at home ... at the Lets do a Chris O tasting...amber ... thin white head ...soft fruits ... light peppery nose ... oily fruits ... oily fruits ... little bit over sweet ... floral sweet fruits .. peppery ... juicy ... probably not one for a pint but a nice soft ... peppery and fruity. ... not getting the tea but i see some of the tanins.. definite ginger tones
