Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a red-brown color with a medium sized creamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was a bit of cherry, wood and toasty malts. The flavor was tart cherries, toasty malts and hints of wood, nut and toffee. Long tart cherry and malt finish. Medium body. Decent.

Yes, its brown and not black. Has a slight slaggy aroma. The taste is brown ale with a mildly tart cherry background. Fun. Some bitterness in there but this stuff goes down easy. Quite interesting. Overall good beer experience. Unique fer sure. I liked this brew.
