Bottle shared with some friends who brought it from Chile. Pours a lovely clear amber to ruby, small head. Aroma is intense caramel malt, burnt sugar, herbal. Medium body. Flavour is malty and sweet, intense caramel and burnt sugar, herbal notes. Nice, closer to a Belgian strong in some regards than a strong ale.

Bottled 500ml 7.5% at Jimmy Wheelright. Dark brown color, steady beige head. Caramel, overriped fruits in the nose. Medium-bodied. Flavor has some alcohol, harsh bitterness, overriped fruits and caramel. Quite German and reasonably drinkable.

Smells of honey and caramel. Taste of strong alcohol - a bit overdone. Caremlized malt aromas and a medium body with a little alcohol bitterness at the end. A decent beer but costs far more than its worth in Chile and Argentina where I saw it a lot. The other Kunstmanns are cheaper and almost as good. Picked up a bottle in the Santiago Airport flying back to Canada and I think the lady ripped me off two dollars to boot. Drank it on an airplane to NY wondering why they let me on with a glass bottle. The stewardess gave me a stern finger wagging when I gave her the empty 500 ml.
