Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Label reads Sunbeam Ecpipse. Clear, cola brown. Thin, dense, beige head. Nose has spent coffee grinds. Chocolate orange. Wood ash. Some berry fruits, too. Smells good. Tadte is dry and ashy, with a lick of orange rind sweetness. Light body with burp inducing fizz. Fairly smooth, though. Ashy dry finish, with a bitterness that rises and lingers. Very decent, low strength porter. Could do without the fizz so much, though. 8373-16

Leeds Beer Festival 2017. Black, slightly thin tasting for a stout, but not worst for its lower than usual strength.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black, bit too thin, not much coffee or orange coming through.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear light dark black brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, dusty, minerals. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, chocolate, light salty - minerals. A bit like a qyster stout. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft - fizzy. [20131216]

22nd November 2012
Opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Fresh minerally palate but quite dry. Mild dark malts with a whisper of roast. Trace of citrus but I was looking for it, might have otherwise passed me by. Super mild lactose. Dry finish. All right but it’s all a bit light and dry.
