Cask at the sailors home Kessingland. A clear mid gold coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, honey malts, bready, sweet bread, wet grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, honey, earthy bread, white raisin light apple, mild fruit esters, very drinkable. Palate is semi sweet, rounded good cask condition. Very easy going.

Cask at the Nelson prior to another Ipswich home draw. Aroma of straw, hay, lemon, and malts. Taste was smooth and hoppy. Very easy to drink.

Bottle from Suffolk Food Hall, Ipswich. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of butter, citrus, malt, hop and caramel. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, oily texture, average carbonation. Harsh bitter citrus finish. Not one of Green Jack's better beers.

On cask at Cloisters. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - burnt biscuit. Some orange but a bit astringent. Taste - more astringent orange and biscuit. Palate - light to medium bodied with a dry astringent middle section and finish. Overall - a bit challenging.

Cask at the Triangle Tavern, Lowestoft, 21/11/16. Light haze on a golden blonde pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is pale malts, straw, lemon rind, grains, hint of bread. Taste comprises light citric peel, straw, grass, toasted grains, lemon drizzle, touch of herb. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. A rather whelming gold.

Cask (handpump) @ Crown and Kettle, 2 Oldham Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, England M4 5FE. [ As Green Jack Golden Best ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, anis seed, licorice hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, malty, anis seed, licorice hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130126]
