Cask at the King William IV Bunny Basher - 30/03/13. Clear golden with a thin white head that clears to a film. Nose is hops, light pine, grapefruit, berry fruits. Taste carries hops, light tropical fruit notes, touch citrics, a definate cranberry hit - well executed without being OTT. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter sweet notes in the finish. Decent.

KWIV. Light haze on this gold beer. Little white head. Fairly smooth palate with fine prickly carbonation. Mellow creamy malt. Medium citrus hops with a fruity cranberry tang and a little cranberry acid. Minerally crisp finish. Interesting fruity IPA.

Keg at the Old Coffee House, London. Pours loudy gold with a tight, creamy white head. Dank, grassy hops on the nose, some grapefruit and other rioe citrus, bit of mango and pineapple. Medium sweet, lots of citrusy bitterness, orange, lemon. Some tropical fruits. The bitterness is actually more than I would associate with tright citrusy hops, so perhaps the cranberry is imparting some extra bitter kick; I don’t really get any cranberry flavor. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, moderate sweetness with good offsetting bitterness, some citrus rind, grapefruit, light pine, sweat, sticky grass. Great stuff overall.

Keg at The Hope. It pours hazy golden with a thick white head (so no real pinkness!). The nose is sweet cranberry, pungent hop, pithy citrus, orange, pine and leaf. The taste is pine, resin, lemon, light soap, good level of bitterness, some astringency and cranberry with a bone-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not as much cranberry as expected, but it still comes through. Very drinkable stuff.
