330ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with average to huge, thick, dense, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, immensely lacing, white head. Piney, resinous, slightly citrusy fruity and grassy, hoppy aroma, caramel and pale malty background, notes of pine, resin, marzipan, a touch of orange, grapefruit, lemon, almond, whiffs of liquorice and rubber. Taste is bitter, resinous, piney and citrusy fruity hoppy, caramel and pale malty backbone with quite some residual sweetness, notes of lemon, grapefruit, some orange, some zesty bitterness, hints of caramel, a touch of almond, some funky undertones; lingering, bitter hoppy finish. Oily texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally greasy palate, fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation. Wow! Catapults me back 15 years or so to what was the (barely accessible) hot shit from Escondido / San Diego then; wanna know what West Coast style means? Here you are!
