From tap the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malt and slight breadish. Bitter, dark roasted malt and light breadish. Dark roasted malt and bitter finish.

Draught @ Schanzenbrau Schankwirtschaft, Adam-Klein-Str. 27, Nurnberg, Bavaria, Germany 90429.Clear dark dark brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, light nutty. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate malt, roasted, dark malt, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Herb-malziger, etwas röstiger Antrunk. Danach noch wenig malzig-prickelnd, herb. Für ein Schwarzbier süffig und süß, nicht sehr intensiv. Im Abgang röstiges, leider zu kurz. Nett. 12/8/9/9//9

Very dark brown with a nice head. The aroma is full of butter and deep roast. The palate again mixes roasty, liquoricey dark malts with diacetyl. Not terribly good.
