Cask at Soloman Cutler, Spoons, Birmingham. Clear gold with smooth as you like white top, great lacing. This one has a malty backbone with a touch of biscuit. Up front is an odd syrup like citrus, bitter boiled vegetables and spice. Smooth body, drying. Interesting.

Cask @ Picture House, Morley. Deeper golden with a creamy head. Fuller-bodied hopped brew, gritty and fruity - with quite a good balance. Smoothish.

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a bright golden amber with a small white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly fruity hops with hints of malt. In the mouth the hops will dominate, theres also autumn fruits and oranges with traces of malt, grains and pine. Some slight bitterness in the finish. It’s reasonable.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head; grainy aroma; grainy body with caramel and a strong vegetal bitterness; then a finish that seems to blend barley sugar with boiled cabbage, leaving a spicy aftertaste. Strange.
