Bottle 70 cl. Pours dark brown with an orange hue and a neat, beige head. Pruney nose with some dried and slightly tart fruit. Surprisingly light body, roasted malt and some phenols. Fairly anonymous. Not bad as such, just boring. 301013

Big sample from 66 cl. bottle. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, dark fruits, wood, vanilla and a soft alcohol note from the whisky. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body, soft and creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with liquorice and dark fruits. A hint of alcohol. Willemoes Jul - beers has gone from messy, sweet and alcoholic in the earlier vintages to something rather nice. Very pleasant Porter.

Bottle 660ml. @ home.Clear dark black colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light moderate hoppy, citrus, licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, licorice, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. 660ml bottle, no. 13825, many thanks to Skinnyviking for this one. Bubbly, brownish head slowly fading over a deep, rosewood coloured body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Semi-sweet aroma of earthy malts with notes of coffee and peat. Quite well blended taste of cocoa powder, ash, whisky, and dark berries together with a roasted bitter ending. Fine bodied. A powerful and warming Yuletide feel. (Tromsø 29.12.2013).

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter nice flavor. Some Vanilla and chocolate and roast. Average heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. nice.

Bottle @ yespr. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty weak woody caramel and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty licorice woody caramel finish.

Bottle @ brugsen. Pours dark brown with a small creamy head. Cocoa powder, rotten dark fruit. Molasses and a whiff of metal and alcohol. Smooth and full bodied. That discount feel is still here.
