33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 12.06?.2013
Aroma is quite grainy with some gooseberry bush – feels like a lager. Also some sweetish fruits. Flavour is hoppy with gooseberry bush and grapefruit. On the first sips there was also rather strong lager-like grainy malt. Did not pair very well with my quattro stagioni. Too stale and too low on fruits.

Buddel: Hazy, golden with an oragey sheen, stable rocky off-white head with a little lace, moderate dry fruity (pineapples and grapefruits, as expected) nose with a touch of vegetables; moderate dry bitter-sweet flavour, not without a certain tartness, medium bodied; traces of cought syrup in the moderately bitter hoppy-fruity finish. O.K., but not really convincing...

Süßlicher und hopfiger Beginn, der zurückhaltend wirkt. Das Bier bleibt auf diese Stufe, sprich eher laff und belanglos. Lieblos mild bitterer Abgang, immerhin mit angenehmer Hopfennuance. 12/7/7/8/12/7

330ml bottle. Cloudy orangey-golden colour with average, firm, frothy, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity aroma has notes of grapefruit, tangerine, also spicy hints of mint and pepper. Taste is bitter hoppy, minimally mineralic touch, hints of citrus, in the end grassy, almost strawy. Could do better with a richer caramel malt basis.

(bottle) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a tall off-white foamy head. Citric, resiny and slightly floral hoppy aroma with a mildly cara-malty background. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Dry (cara-)malty taste with present fruity and resiny hops, keeping the dry character towards the moderately bitter finish, again with a good dash of citrus fruity and resiny hoppy flavours. Probably even a bit better and more courageous than their Pale Ale mainly brewed with US-hops. 08.IX.12

bottle from Bierzwerg. Hazy deep golden colour, large and creamy off-white head. Lovely hop aroma, resiny and citrusy. Intensive malty base transporting the intense hop flavours, on the one hand American citrus flavours, on the other hand grassy, resiny European hop flavours, as in the aroma. Delicious!
