White Hawk is a traditional IPA .The IPA recipe is based on the original 1880 brew that was sent to India for the British troops.The advent of India Pale Ale was born of a need to supply beer in the 1800’s to British troops in India. This hearty, heavily hopped ale was brewed to endure the rigors of the long voyage from Great Britain.
White Hawk Original IPA was launched in California in early 2002 to meet the demand for a unique India Pale Ale. Consumer response for White Hawk IPA exceeded expectations and it is fast gaining a loyal following both in 6 pack and on draft.

Botte, 12oz. It pours a lighlty hazy body, dark golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick light beige head leaving lacings. It’s citrusy and lightly hayish on the nose, with some resiny hints. Rather malty. That goes for the flavor too, where there’s also a nice bitterness. Full body, pleasant carbonation and quite dry. Lasting bitter finish. Sort of boring this one, but quite nice anyway. 131231

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Pale gold with a decent white head. Sharp lemon fruits, some balancing malts and a lengthy, bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ [ The Danish Summer Gathering, TSODRBSG13 ].Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, light caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity, dusty hops. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130831]
