Our big, bold shout-out to Spokane, this copper-colored ale is our most complex offering. Munich and Crystal malts lay down a supportive body, while Chinook and Cascade — our favorite Washington-grown hops — bring the citrus and piney flavors (plus Northern Brewer for a hint of mint). We dry-hop with Cascade and CTZ for bigger hop aromas that enhance an immensely satisfying IPA.

Darker than expected, copper coloured with golden head. Aroma is resin, pine, grapefruit and caramel sweetness. Taste is good, earthy bitterness, caramel maltiness, bit of citrus and grass at the end and maybe slightly nutty. Bitter finish leaves a pleasant tingle on the tongue. Very nice!

Can from Total Wine, Bellevue. Nice caramel-amber color with a froth of off white head that leaves heavy lace on the glass. Bright pine hop aroma, herbal and earthy notes. Solid malt backbone. Clean, soft carbonation, somewhat dry close. Pretty good.

On tap. Pours a hazy copper with a thin, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet, pungent aroma of grapefruit, caramel malt and pine. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel malt, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Nice, very aggressive.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy deep amber copper with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a strong malt profile with lots of sweet grains and some earthy pine underlying. Flavor has more of a grass and sweet grain combination with some pine and a bit of caramel.

Bottled@SBWF2015. Amber colour, small white head. aroma is fruity, floral, wooden and some mild citrus and sweet malts to it. Flavour is similar, with resin and wood coming in more evidently. Nice bitterness in the finish.

Bottle at SBWF2015. Amber color, small white head. Bready malts, fruits in the nose. Medium-bodied. Malty, caramelly and late bitterness. Malty ipa. Strange but ok.
