Taste comprises caramel malts, candied sugars, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, subtle pine notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, a little dry in the fnish with hop bitterness. Nice stuff indeed !

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge drunk at home. Ruby coloured beer thick beige head. Lovely American hoppy aroma. I do Like American reds. Maybe a little too earthy. Touch of sourness on the aroma which is odd. But that might be the hops. Rest of beer is good though and right up my alley. As it were.

Keg at Queens Arms, Piccadilly. It pours cloudy deep red with medium beige head. The nose is fresh pine, resin, blood orange and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, pine, resinous, red berry, grapefruit, orange, light jaminess, caramel, toasty, earth, touch of alcohol and a somewhat vinous quality with a bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A rather tasty hoppy red ale. Good depth and drinkability. Nice work Moncada!

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli and Nora - sourced from Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear reddish-brown with a fine, creamy off-white head. The aroma holds a ton or orange rind, a bit of pine, some toasty malts. Medium sweet flavor with a lot of resinous pine, earth, toasted brown bread, some ripe orange, dirt, grass, citrus peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Lots more resinous pine to finish, juicy orange, some bitter toasted grass, grapefruit, bitter citrus rind. Pretty solid stuff.
