4/2/2025. Draft at Friends Of Ham, Leeds. Pours close to black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cakey, nutella, lactose. Very sweet, quite cloying, light roasted bitterness, hints of sweet chocolate and maple syrup. Quite full bodied, smooth, with a slight sparkle to the carbonation. Good finisher to an evening in Leeds.

440ml can. Pitch black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla. Taste is sweet, milky chocolate, vanilla, caramel, mild roast malt, a little alcohol. Full bodied, smooth, creamy. Really good but lactose AND vanilla is a bit much, masking the roastiness I would've liked more of.

Appearance is nearly black, with a 1-2 finger light brown head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, toffee, dark malty hops, chocolate fudge, vanilla. Taste is sweet chocolate, vanilla, fudgy sweet malt, coconut, dark toasty malt, caramel biscuit, milky coffee hints. Sweet chocolatey undertones. Very nice, abv very well-hidden.

Black k beer, thick tan head. Tremendous malty aroma. Sweet and toasty malt is all over the flavour too, alongside a hint of aniseed, some cocoa, maybe a little toffee and some non-apecific boozy warmth, all on top of a rich body. Warming, boozy, sweet, toasty and a bit of a masterpiece of malt. Delicious.
