Draught, shared with Finn at Taproom Uba Ja Humal. Black in the glass, spotty lacing, patches on the surface. Quite attractive roasted malts on the nose, hints of dried fruits. Fine balanced taste of raisin, bread, dark chocolate, and liquorice. Roasted malt driven ending, long lived. Fine depth to it. Pleasing. (Tallinn, 07.11.2025).

Taster on tap at Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours dark brown with a very modest , tanned head. Roasty aroma with dark fruits , wood, dark dried fruits and hints of slivovitz. Moderate to medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Tasty and enjoyable.

Had this Easter 🐰 Sunday 20th April 2025 listening to Tom Robinson on 6Music, we had a Rick Stein meal, Cuttlefish with Meatballs and Peas after a walk up to our local and a little bit of gardening today. Pours black with a slim beige head, a little bit of coffee and a lot of dark bitter chocolate on the nose, these follow through into the mouth, it's got a big roasty bitterness. Very nice stout. A mark removed for the ridiculous wax top which took an age to remove, otherwise a very good straight up Impy. .

Bottle, 0.33l. Deep murky muddy brown pour, two finger frothy brown head, medium retention, broken lacing on the glass. Dried fruits and raisins on the nose, roasted malt, mild vanilla in the background.

Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, creamy, chewy. Goes down nicely. Roasty bitter taste balanced with mild sweetness in the background. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, ash. Bready and wood notes, licorice, dried fruits and raisins, vanilla. Some boozy notes lingering in the background. Long lasting finish, dry, bitter, liquory, lingering roasty notes.

Good.

Dark brown, small off-white head. Roasty and nutty aroma, some coffee, hints of molasses and charred wood. Roasty flavour, burnt toast, light caramel, a bit harsh. Smooth, still drinkable, soft texture.

Bottle, 330 ml shared with Luka, MiroB and Frane. Black with beige head. Dark chocolate, some caramel, vanilla, medium sweetness. Roasty bitter finish. Medium bodied.

On tap at the brewpub. Pitch black coloured, small to medium sized brownish head, chocolate and light dried fruits in the nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, light coffee and discreet alcohol with some vanilla in the finish. Pleasant.

Tap at the brewpub. Pitch black body, tiny off-white head. Creamy aroma, red berries, vague vanilla, caramel, coffee growing. Lean for a stout, dry, light chocolate cookie, soft, creamy, light tannic notes, some vague vanilla, tea, fun. A good 'un, very drinkable for 8%!
