Pause and Reflect is a seasonal porter brewed with non traditional adjunct grains; emmer and triticale. Emmer is an ancient variety of wheat and triticale is a wheat-rye hybrid. These grains combined with specialty malts roasted by Valley Malt provide a low bitterness yet robust chocolate and coffee character layered with flavor in a supremely beer.

Can (10/15/24) shared by Steve. Virtually opaque dark brown with thin veneer of head and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted, slightly nontraditional-smelling, grains, coffee, cocoa. Taste is roasted grain, minimal coffee, mild chocolate. Smooth texture, average carbonation ending slightly fizzy, roasted malt/coffee lightly bitter finish. Good strength for ABV, they got a different aroma from the nontraditional grains, but can't say I loved them, and texture is a bit off.
