Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 Brown in colour with a slim light beige head, touch of haziness. Touch spicy with a distinct Chruistmas spicy feel to it, little powdery in the mouth and with a light bitterness. Bit of a one trick pony but not a bad one. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

cask in standing order ... copper thin white head ... cinamon spice ... light toffee malt nose ... juicy soft mellow malts ... clear but mellow cinamon back ground all told quite nice ...

Half, just on from cask at Standing Order (JDW). Deep, mahogany coloured body, maybe even a bit darker. Shiny black surface. Smell of dark malts, slightly roasted. Coffee grounds to the taste buds conjoined by brown sugar and mild expression of spices. Moderate bitter endnotes. Satisfying (Edinburgh, 30.11.2010).
