This beer is a Belgian Golden Strong Ale, I have always been inspired by Duvel Moortgat Brewery of Belgium. Their Strong Blonde Ale has always been one of my favorite go to beers when I find it. Our version is brewed using all Belgian Pilsner malt, Styrian Golding hops and WLP570 Belgian yeast strain. I am very happy with the light tropical fruit notes and fairly low level of bubblegum flavors. It has a very nice spicy black pepper component in the finish. Please enjoy

0.66 l bottle, past its date at least for 3 years. Pours unclear dark golden with a small creamy head. Candy sugar, herbal notes, cough syrup, some orange peel, clove, belgian yeast, vanilla, butterscotch, butter cookies. Malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty boozy finish. Surprisingly good, well balanced and very complex. Has aged very well!

Oranjebruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is warm en vol, zoet en kruidig met iets van rozijnen, port, mandarijn, vanille en noten.

14.07.2017, 0,65l bottle shared @ local tasting:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet floral, sap, wet grain, hay, minerals, alcohol, grass, weeds, flowers, caramel. Taste is slightly sweet floral, sap, weeds, hay, grass, minerals, flowers, yeast, alcohol, wet grain, fruit stones, "knekk", medicine, old leafs. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, kind of old I guess.

Off white fluffy head soon left a cover on a lightly effervescent copper coloured body. Fruity malt aroma with hints of butterscotch. Medium body, smooth on the palate & sticky on the back. Sweet sickly tastes of caramel, over ripe fruits. No Belgian yeast & not clean enough.

Bottled@The Hobbit Tasting. Hazy golden colour with a mediumsized white head, which lasts for quite a while. Aroma is sweet malts, fruits, some tropical fruit juice, mild spices as well as some toffee. Flavour is tropical fruits, some caramel and mild bready notes as well as some herbal and spicy notes. Also a mild sweet sting of alcohol to it.

650ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, pale golden colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, fruity, slightly bready malty aroma, notes of apricot, mirabelle, hints of cheesecake. Taste is sweet fruity, slightly tacky, notes of apricot, bitter hoppy overtones - too weak to present a real counterweight to the sweetness -, biscuity, caramel malty basis, cautious hints of peppery yeasty spiciness in the finish; soft palate, viscid texture. Rather monotonous, too sweet; or at least too sweet for the lack of complement.

Bonito aspecto dorado y compacto. Clara.
