Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

12oz bottle-amber color, pours a rich, short light tan head. Aroma is deep malt-caramel. Taste follows with a bit of bite from the secondary hops, very nice, enjoyable. Thanks to Wawood for this one. Very much like a Scottich ale. Light amber color with a thin head that continues to float on the top of the beer. Heavy malt aroma and flavor; the hops are an afterthought. Very full bodied as far as amber ales go, with considerable malty sweetness.

This is a surprisingly hoppy Amber Ale with just enough underlying dark fruit and caramel/brown sugar malt character to make it quaffable. The malts even have a grape-like character, but the earthy, bitter hops prevail in the finish. I agree with the 55.7% style percentage- this is decidedly average.

Bottle. Amber-copper color with a good white head. Aroma of caramel and some citrus hops. Well balanced beer with decent malt and some citrus and spice from the hops. Reddish copper in color, small head. Ordinary amerish aroma- kinda sweet, but not really appealing. Taste is pretty much the same- thin, plain, ordianry, and not very drinker-friendly.

The aroma is of an american IPA; hoppy, yeast, and oranges. The color is an unclear orange with no head. The flavor is hoppy and oranges. It is somewhat thin.

From Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. Nothing really exciting about this beer. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty but it is barely detectable. Flavor is somewhat malty with a light hops counterbalance. Finish was lacking any real substance. Not a bad beer, but nothing really stands out about it either.

Reddish gold appearance. Light, fresh, fruit nose, but the body is lacking. Perhaps a bit too carbonated and could use alot more hops. The Blue Heron kicks the Red Tailed Hawks ass.
