Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is roasted malt, some liquorice and coffee, lightly fruity hop with some citrus, orange, a tropical hint. Flavour is moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Doesn't really cut it as a Black IPA.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with absurdely huge, frothy, in parts instantly diminishing, partially osteoporosing and sagging with delay, beige head. Piney, resinous, hoppy and slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, mild funky overtones, weak hints of coffee and dark chocolate, some peach. Taste dry, minimally woody, dark malty, minimally zesty, citrusy and tropical fruity hoppy, hints of decayed, decomposed wood, some citrus fruit peel, a mineral touch. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation (at least after shaking the bottle a few times to make pouring actually possible). Quite strange taste, technically a bit flawed and overcarbonated - not really impressive.
