500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber, thick, long-lasting white head. Aromas are light, but there is a noticeable blackcurrant note, light spice. Taste is thin, light sweet. OK, but not their best.

500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD Jun 2014, poured at home on 30th Apr 2014. Pours a clear light amber/light brown with a huge white head. Initially I thought ’home brew’ from the aroma and first sip: it grew on me although there was a yeast presence throughout which I and the beer didn’t need. Semi-sweet, semi-sour and semi-dry, so a changing profile in my eyes. I like this breweries beers usually, this didn’t fare so well though: I’ll be trying more of their brews whenever I can even if this let them down a little.

Very light haze on this amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and softish. Fine carbonation. Smooth malt, touch of light cream. Mild and unsweet caramel. Orangey dried fruits before a smooth finish. Mellow and drinkable. Mellow bitters seems to be an 8 Sail thing.
