Roughtor was our second beer, a follow up to St Nonna’s. This is a well hopped amber ale, lovely flavour along with a medium bitterness. Roughtor (pronounced Row-tor) is the second tallest hill in Cornwall, situated on Bodmin Moor, near Brown Willy.

bottle from Trumps of Sidmouth. Chestnut-brown colour, mid-sized head. Dry overall impression, yet quite malty. Hints of nuts. Lingering hoppy finish.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Mid brown bitter colour with very lasting beige head. Odd flavoured strongish bitter. Bit of stone. It settles down into an ok premium bitter.
