Smell of smoke and.. bratwurst? Dark brown, muddy. Beige head. Aroma of smoke, bratwurst(?) and Fisherman’s Friend. Yes, this beer played crazy on me. Medium sweet, medium sour.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Hazy brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is mild smoke with some roasted malts as well as some toffee and mild floral notes. Flavour is rather similar in a nice balance. Quite nice and clean, but could do with a bit more smoke. Easy to drink.

(Bottle,0.33 l, from Alko, 20130209) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, smoke and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied and quite dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, ash, hops, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky and bitter. A unblanced and musty brew. The level of smokedness was good.

A dark brown beer with an almost medium and beige head. Aroma is roasted, some smoke and tar liquirice, sweet strawberries. Taste is balanced sweet and malty, some dry smoke, roastiness, hint of berries, the aftertaste is slightly biting and herbal. Taste is too simple and more smoke would be nice. Almost medium bodied, medium carbonation. More smoke would be needed, also too simple, the best part in this beer is the aroma due to some personality.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 08/2013
Aroma is somewhat smoky with some hay, grainy malt and grassy hops. Feels like a smoked kellerbier. Flavour is smoky with some grainy malt and hints of hay. Finishes with mint, herbal notes, grassy hops and Leijona tar drops. A bit ’hard’ palate with somewhat stinging CO2. Sticky feeling after some sips. A bit messy but decent anyway.
