CBC. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, wood and bourbon. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 040513

Draught @ CBC2013. Pours hazy deep reddish brown with a creamy goldenish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with sweet dark bread, biscuits, caramel, cookies, dried dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla fudge, roasted nuts and charred wood. Taste is sweet and tiny fruity tart with sweet dark bread, cookies, tart cherries, prunes, raisins, figs, caramel, bourbon, vanilla fudge, charred wood, toffee, biscuits, caramelized nuts and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is round, creamy, tiny tart and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with sweet dark bread, prunes, raisins, figs, hay, charred wood, vanilla fudge, burnt cookies, roasted nuts and bourbon. A real treat...

Sampled at CBC 2013. Opaque black color with a dark red glare coming through, very small fair lacing, almost fully diminishing off-white head. Aroma is light to moderately malty, light to medium sweet, bourbon and wood. Lovely barrel aged quadrupel. Full body, medium carbonation.

Fat på CBC 2013. Stora söta bourbondofter av vanilj, läder och fat. Smaken går i samma stil, är söt och väldigt fatpräglad. Saknar ändå lite kropp och nådde inte upp till de bästa bourbonölen på festivlen.

On tap at CBC, pours an amber-tinged black with a small tan head. Aroma of heavy bourbon barrels upfront which dominate everything, not much in the way of quad notes. Flavour brings out complex bourbon barrels, deep dark fruits, caramel and candied sugar. The bourbon is nearly overburdening -- maybe too much for some, but still acceptable to me. Very sticky, viscous palate. Great stuff.
