An American session beer. Loaded with hop character and a malty presence, but lower in alcohol.

Hazy dark blonde, papaya and calamansi with a very light pale malt signature. High bitterness perception because the malts are light and pale. Clean yeast ( I might like an English yeast better for this one).

Draft @ The Alehouse Amesbury. Orange/copper color with fast dying head, no lace. Aroma is mostly fruity hops with some caramel hints, maybe even a hint of grass. Flavor starts sweet then transitions in a decent amount of bitterness. I don’t get any citrus in the flavor... All floral and grassy hops. The body is fuller then I would have guess for such a lower gravity. Bitterness lingers for a nice duration after the sip. The name of this brew is fitting, nice amount of bitterness. Overall a well executed IPA, well worth a sample.

Tastes and smells like an IPA, no clue as to the reduced alcohol. Full hoppy aroma, hops and malt blend well in overall presentation. I can see why this is a session ale, perfect, full of flavor, good looking, low alcohol. Well done!

Can at Brewforia Eagle. Hazy light golden. Firm white head. Plenty of bitterness but not a lot of fresh hop flavor. Moderate light malt body. Pretty bitter to be "sessionable" but not big or hoppy enough for an IPA. Somewhat soapy/perfumy hop flavors.

Freshly canned and on draught at Deep Ellum, 2012
White head is initially full and frothy, receding eventually to cover atop a bright golden body with light amber tints. Clear.
Fresh, clear, clean hoppiness in the nose has plentiful fruitiness and a very good amount of stiff pine. Bready malts stay out of the way, for the most part, while the hops do the work.
Bitter, as the name implies, but not to the point of being fatiguingly so, even taking in to account the lower alcohol and lighter malt profile. Still, there is some sweetness here (honey, graham crackers) though the malt mostly adds body and texture. Lots of white grapefruit and orange on the finish, with a bit too much pine resin, perhaps. No alcohol noted. Really nice beer for someone looking for a lower alcohol beer but still interested in a hop bomb. Carbonation is moderate, a touch loose, leading to a bit of wateriness on the end (which is perfectly in character with the beer, IMHO).

I love monkeys! お猿ーさん大好き!4.4% can from Rakuten. Drunk from a pint glass. Deep yellow gold with a thick fluffy off-white head The aroma is floral, hoppy, citrus & maybe a touch of resin. The mouthfeel is a bit light but bitter, nice caramel malt backbone with a spicy herbal hop finish. A yummy beer that hit the spot. Hmm, the bitterness seems to build up & become increasingly astringent as you drink it. Still very nice. I liked it best in a tulip...
