Appearance: Clear plae golden color with a white head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Mild malty and light hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild malty and light hoppy.
Overall impression: Why do many of the Norwegian macro breweries make pale lager with less malt and less hops, and try to make us belive this is fresh nice stuff. Allready regretting that I bought it. But with our disease, it is impossible not to try one….
Personal stats: Can from Varnaveien Mineralvann in Moss, Norway.

Drinking this beer, I can’t help thinking of an old episode from Spitting Image. Anyone remember this satirical puppet show from the 80’s ? In this particular episode we see the Russian president standing on a balcony together with his party colleagues watching the big military parade. They are obvious very bored and plays the following game; one fellow says “I spy with my eyes something that begins with a “T”. The answer is tank, and then the next one repeats “I spy with my eyes something that begins with a “T”. This goes on for a while until one of them says “I spy with my eyes something that begins with an “A”. Then the rest becomes really confused about this until they hear the answer: “Another tank”.

0.33l can. This is a clear pale golden one, some unfiltered lager particles in the glass and the head is impressive, big, lacing and white in color. Not anything maritime about the aroma. Light corn sweet, some traces of wet hay and wheat. Not much to scream hurrah about.. Sweet flavors. Surprisingly sweet. Really thin a deep sad on the mouthfeel with a below average carbonation level. Corn sweet, a little bit of watery bitterness in the back, but this is just a plain boring way to sweet macro pilsner without any real personality. Bah. Almost makes me a bit sad. 11.05.2013

Big shiny offwhite head. Clear pale yellow body with carbonation. Mealy strawy vaguely fruity aroma with minty papery notes. Dry-sweetish strawy sugary taste with minty papery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish resiny salty strawy aftertaste with papery minty notes. A mix of both good and bad flavours, but overall it’s perhaps a little dense and salty for a real summer beer. It’s OK, though. (0.33l can, I forget where.)

Large (20 cl) sample from can, at Haand Beer Festival 2013, Drammen. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish/sugary, grassy and grainy aroma.
Medium sweet (for a pilsener) flavour, fairly clean, but far too little hops. Still, I must admit it was quite refreshing (and cold!), after all the barleywines I had before.
