As the name suggests, we’ve used just one variety of hop in this pale golden ale. Brewed with just low colour Maris Otter malt and a little wheat for head retention, we’ve selected some of the more “interesting” hops and added several bucket loads to each brew. Currently we’re using one of our favourites, NZ Motueka. Expect a tropical citrus twist, with hints of lemon and lime.

Cask @ Tap east, London. Slightly cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma is refreshing general fruity. Flavor is light and easy pale malt, citric fruit, peach, floral and medium bitter. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nice and easy refreshing hoppy golden ale. Would not mind another – anytime. Nothing complex, just this kind of beer that often makes me happy for no particular reason.

Tap. Sheffield Tap. Hugely overpriced, and massively under measured, but that’s the Tap for you! Very hazy gold. Thick, frothy, off white head. Nose has light, spicy hop. Some floral notes. Soft herb. Taste is soft sweet, with a light, citric bitterness. Light body. Prickly fizz. Light bitter finish. Nice for being on keg. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottled 568ml ("Arbour Motueka Golden Session Beer" 3.8% ABV, AbM)
Hazy orange-yellow color, small white head, some lace. Tropical fruity aroma, maybe hints of wheaty banana. Light-bodied, crisp carbonation. Tropical fruityness, light banana, aftertaste has some grapefruity bitterness. Nicely tasty for its ABV.
