330ml bottle at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is Pilsner malt, hay, some light citrus, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, malt, dry woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. A decent and rather inoffensive Pilsner. Fine for a session if this floats your boat. Comparable with some of the better European Pilsners.

Keg at Moa Tiki, Singapore. Clear pale golden, small head. Aroma of papaya and citrus. Mid dry with light-medium body and crisp, rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. White currant and spices, mild citrus. Long bitter finish. Nowhere near a pilsner, but a great hoppy quaffable modern lager hybrid.

On tap at Moa. Biscuit, tart lemon, floral. Quite cloying, pretty much the opposite of crisp. Not great.

12.7 oz. bottle. Gold color with a huge foamy white head that exhibits excellent retention. Heavy lacing. Aroma of pils malt, citrus and spice. Taste follows nose. Orange peel and bread. Finish is lightly bitter, peppery and dry. Good.

Draft: Very mild lemongrass nose. Cloudy amber, headless. Honey, corn, some DMS, grass. Medium body, easy carbonation. Drinks stronger than an ordinary pils, more like an IPL. Probably past its prime.

Bottle at the Pumphouse, Richmond, corked
Deep blond color, hazy, with medium sized head. Pilsner? Tastes like a dry and spicy Ale, bitter, also some esters, a bit of cork that complements the flavor.
Nice.

750ml bottle into pint glass. Champagne bottle with cork! Spicy hop nose. Pepper? Cloudy amber with towering white head which isn’t going anywhere. This has mad hair! Creamy mouthfeel leading to nice fruity hop finish. Quality beer but every pour leads to an Everest of foam. Weird exuberance.

375 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright golden color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the the head. Awesome appearance. Aromas of lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange zest, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bright citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange zest, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange zest, cracker, bread, light pine, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and robustness of citrus/earthy hops and pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean flavors as well, with pretty much zero yeast ester presence. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice German pilsener style. All around good balance and robustness of citrus/earthy hops and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

A dark yellow, hazy beer with a big, clouding and blond head. The nose has pure malts, aromatic hops, citrusfruits, some grass and kiwis. Taste has citrusfruits, grapefruits and lemon, also some tropical fruits, some light grain. The bitterness is not very strong, but it’s enough and aromatic. Fruits are dominating. Medium bodied, pleasant and smooth. Surprisingly good beer, enjoyable, smooth and fruitful.
