Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 1/3/2014. Golden in colour with a decent white head. Big grapefruit character and grassy hops, with some balancing malts and dryish finish. Good.

Cask at the Euston Tap - London. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. The nose holds lemon rind, hay and slight tropical fruits. Light sweet flavor with assertive, grassy bitterness, strong lemon rind, dirty hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Grassy bitter finish with low sweetness, further lemon rind. The bitterness is a touch abrasive.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, 23 Nov 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of grass, citrus and biscuity malt. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, biscuits and a certain grassy, floral bitterness in the finish. Light body, with balanced sweetness. On the thin side and not very complex, but with a fresh and generous hop presence. Quite nice.

Cask at the Old Fountain. it pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is hay, earthy, grainy, toast and orange marmalade. The taste is smooth, damn bitter, earthy, straw, hay, toasted grass and light soap with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Light, good bitterness and good drinkablity. Another good golden from Mallinson’s.

Aroma: Earthy, yeasty and floral. Nice grassy notes.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with yeast flecks floating around. Medium white head. Light carbonation. Nice lacing.
Taste: Floral hops, tangy pear and hints of apple. Grassy, bitter finish.
Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Average carbonation.
Overall: Reminds me of a lower ABV version of the floral and fruity Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
