Skunky smell. Yellow color, medium white head, some lacing. Moderately strong flavor of grains, with hints of honey. Clean finish. There’s really nothing special about it.

Sampled at the Odds and Ends Tasting II on 10/19/07: This beer is a clear, rather ugly yellow color with a minimal white head that dissipates rapidly. Spotty lacing. Light malt and corn aroma. Thin body with weak malt and hops flavor with. The finish is short and mildly hoppy. Drinkable yet not something I would bother with again.

16 oz. can. Light aroma of pale malt and noble hop. Golden color with a somewhat frothy white head. Thin to medium body, with near creamy carbonation. The flavor is light malt, arguably noble hop, and something like hay or grass. The finish is dry, approaches astringency, has a very decent amount of bitter, and leaves the mouth thinking more might be good. Very decent lager.

16oz can from Trader Joes; nose of grain and a bit of floral hops; gold with a huge white head; flavor of sweet graininess with mild hop bitterness mixed in; enough hops to make it a drinkable lawnmower, hot weather beer and it’s cheap at Trader Joes.

Henninger premium Frankfurt beer in a 12 oz green bottle. Pop cap and catch a light dose of cabbage/vegetable/skunky aroma that clears within a few minutes to reveal a mild hint of interesting combination of yeast, premium gasoline and alcohol. Pours like a nice clean typical american style beer. Flavor is fresh, while drinking. Carbonation and palate are OK. The finish is clean at first but follows with a mild bitterness that lingers.

Not bad at all. Drink it cold. Aroma has some alcohol and corn. Flavor is medium sweet with a very light hop bite. It actually has some body to it, and the clean gold color and thick white head looks good in my weizen glass.

Canned. Pour is a real clear yellow with a big fizzy head. Aroma is slight grains and malts. Flavor is not real bad. Some hops show up and finish is crisp and clean. Its cheap and not offensive.

Oh well, I didn’t find this beer very good. Malty, and bready, and it left a kind of dry feeling in the back of my throat. BItter.

12 oz bottle - It’s another fairly weak, boring lager. It has more flavor than the Rolling Rock I just reviewed, but that’s not saying much. In short, it’s okay, but I wouldn’t bother paying import prices for it again.

Bottled 07/2004, 650ml (brewed by Winsome Breweries, India)
Golden color, good white head. Skunky hopped, sweet berry-like tones. Light. Slightly malty and hoppy. Totally uninteresting. Price 35 Rp ~ 0,60e.
