Bottled. Pale amber colour with a small white head, but rather rich carbonation. Aroma is floral, some spicy yeasts, and grains. Flavour is fruity, floral, herbal and some slight wooden and spicy tones. Feels a bit out of balance.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Aroma is malts, lightly hops and something a bit odd. Taste lightly malts, lightly hops, lightly smoke and a hint of peat with a soft bitter finish. Average body and carbonation. Interesting beer but I don’t really like it.

33cl bottle from Tebay services, M6. Pale amber with a white head and lots of carbonation; floral, Belgian yeast, aroma; grainy body at first, then a hit of rauch bier style smoke - hopefully that’s what was intended - certainly an odd combination, and not one I’d look out for again.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, foamy, diminishing, white head. Aroma has hints of gooseberry. Taste is strawy, bitter, chalky, mineral; lively carbonation. Let me say it this way: For the sane this is simply a clearly below average Ale. I’ve no idea which mental illness rearranges your synaptic connections in a way forcing you to rate it substantially better. Well, if your personal schizophrenia possesses the symptom of hearing the brewer’s voice, insinuating you to do so - maybe then.

Bottle shared at Josh’s Farwell Fling, thanks to Leighton, this beer puts GB back to being my top style, I need a trip to the US and soon !!! 20/02/14. Pale golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is lemon rind, apricot jam, bread dough, straw, bitter orange. Taste comprises light soap, bitter orange, citric sherbets, straw, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light grassy bitterness in the close. A truly whelming affair!
