Bottle shared in London for Josh’s farewell do. Pours clear, pale yellow with a frothy white head. The nose has dry, doughy pale malts and nips of lemony citrus. Light sweet flavor with a bit of tangy lemon, some hay, more dried pale malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat surprisingly tangy to finish, mild citric lemon, light pale malt sweetness. Pretty tasty.

Bottle courtesy of Leighton. It pours pale gold with a small white head. The nose is earthy, grainy, hay, citrus peel and cat litter. The taste is crisp, lemony, grapefruit, sherbet, minerals and light mouth pucker with a dry finish. Medium and fine carbonation. Smell is a bit dodgy, but tastes alreet.

Bottle from Ales By Mail [250114]
Blonde, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of light apricot, bit woody, ashtray, slight spicy, light aroma, odd smoke
Taste of light citrus hop, slight odd smoke, odd, cigarette ash, pale malts, bit lager like, odd bit ashy taste, not working at all
Palate - medium carb, light body, soft fruits. Finish is dry, odd, I can’t get cigarettes out of my mind now
Overall - The worst beer I’ve had from Hardknott - really poor. Not surprised it’s the lowest rated Hardknott beer on here

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, pale gold. Bubbly, lasting, white head. Aroma is cracker biscuit. Lemon pith. Light spiciness. Taste is mineral dry. Lime zest sharpness. Slightly metallic. A little sourness in there too. Very dry finish. All a bit odd, really.

330ml bottle from Hardknott online shop. Pours clear pale gold, good white head. Lemon and hay aromas, with a strange backnote that might be wood, or might be a light fustiness. Taste is light sweet, more lemon, more odd woody things. Strange one.

Euston Tap. Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and dry with fine minerally carbonation. Semi sweet pale malt, dry and with a whisper of bubblegum ester. Light orange citrus, almost not there! Dry minerally crisp finish. Not sure what this is trying to be? Inoffensive.

Cask at The Victoria, Birmingham. Poured a clear Lucozade like amber with a thin glass hugging round white head. The aroma is weak malt and citrus fruit. The flavour is very weak bitter, zesty fruit and with a metallic edge. Reminds me of the International Arms Race (Brewdog/Flying Dog) only this one works a whole lot better.

Cask at the Catford Bridge Tavern. Gold pour with a white head. Herby aroma with hints of caramel and citrus. Herby/vegetative flavours, a little citrus. Light bitter finish. Intriguing.
