Cask: half pint in Craft Beer Co (London) in April 2012 and a pint in The Salopian (Shrewsbury) during Aug 2012. Very dark brown, almost black, good head on both pours. Coffee and more coffee in the flavours, nose and taste wise, intense coffee feel to it. Roasted ground coffee everywhere, rich and deep. Almost overpowering with it’s coffeeness to be honest, luckily I like coffee.

Cask at CP&K. Hazy dark red-brown beer. Tidy pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Low carbonation. Light dry lacto. Mild but rich coffee. Minerals. Dry finish. Not bad but there are a lot of coffee beers around and many of them are superior to this.

Cask at Euston Tap, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a small beige head on top. Roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Tastes of coffee, malty, caramel, slightly sweet, roasty. Smooth and really easy drinking but a little thin for a stout. Still pretty decent though.

Cask at CBC, London. Pours rich brown with a small, beige head. Big coffee nose, latte, roast. Light to medium sweet flavor, strong coffee character, slight lactic notes, nice roast, some burnt sugars. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Roasted coffee finish, mild sweetness, light earthy bitterness. Good beer.

Cask handpull at Cask Pub, Pimlico. Black body with lasting beige head. Milk coffee aroma. Bit of powder coffee on aroma then a sweet lactic stout in mouth. Some dryness on end. Glad to have had it and good flavours, I just did not like it as much as I could as milk is not my favourite

Cask at the Jolly Butchers, London on 18th June 2010. Virtually black with thin bubbly off-white head. Strong coffee notes and a touch of shiitake mushroom plus a vanilla twist. Very bitter hops in finish but vanilla and coffee are very much the prevailing flavours.
