(Bottle) Clear amber brown with small off-white head. Nice toffee aroma. Medium body with good carbonation. Good taste of toffee with herbal hoppy bitterness. Very enjoyable.

19/1/2019. Bottle from (the sadly now closed) Inn at Home, Guildford shared at the 2nd Kesgrave 50/50. Pours clear pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops and fruit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Dose of caramel to finish. Not bad.

Cask at Hants Oktoberfest. Malty aroma. Light brown. Thin white head. Light bitter. Rich dark fruits and malts. Thin. Slick. Average carbonation. Abrupt. Decent enough bitter.

F: big, white, almost good retention. C: deep gold, to amber, clear. A: malty, biscuits, fruity, bread, caramel. T: malty, caramel, fruity, decent bitter finish, medium body, low to medium carbonation, 0,5l bottle from Farm shop in Hillier Garden Centre Horsham.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a silky smooth malt, fresh hop, light citrus palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. An excellent session ale.

500ml Bottle - Copper in colour. Biscuity malt, hops and dried fruit in the aroma. Fruity and nicely balanced taste with notes of caramel, berries, dried fruit and hops. A tasty bitter.

Impromptu tasting of three Two Cocks beers (six cocks?) with Ashton McCobb. Jeez-o this one smells bad, not sure I want to put it in my mouth! No way this is bottle-conditioned, as the yeast would’ve cleared up that diacetyl and sulphur, and there was nothing in the way of sediment, not one iota. Taste has a kinda toffee thing, but hard to get past everything else. Astringent finish. Disappointing.
