Pint, cask at Compton Arms, Islington. Filmy layer, fragile lacing. Close to clear, dark brown body. Smell of leafy hops and dark malts. Mixed bag of malt-fruity flavour providing a mild marmalade impression. Smooth bitter ending. Well balanced and rather well bodied. Nice session bitter (Londin, 24.11.2012).

Cask at the Alexandra, Derby. Hazy amber with a dense white head; candy floss aroma; flavour has tropical fruit, lemon and orange, with a deep but gentle underlying bitterness with a grapefruit tartness. Complex and unusual.
