Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, brown sugar, licorice. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, sugar, bread, little licorice. Thin to medium body, average to lively carbonation, sweet finish. Very sweet. 100118

Straight from bottle purchased in a random Spar market in St. Petersburg, RU. Aroma: molasses, caramel, bread, dried fruit. Medium body. Pretty sweet taste. Rich malts. Treacle, caramel, bread, dried fruit, vinous notes. Rather complex. Tasty.

Pint bottle, bought at an East European grocers in Bedminster, Bristol. Deep, reddish-brown in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Sweet aroma of caramel and raisins, with a hint of toastiness. Flavour was also sugary, with a touch of milk chocolate, some red berries and bready malts, before a boozy finish. fine.

Dark red beer, thin head. Malty aroma. Taste has a bit of fruity sweetness first, then you get some earthy malt and a touch of caramel. Isn’t very rich and I may have over-chilled it but it’s not bad.

One pint bottle. Clear, red to brown colored. AROMA- toasted malts, sour cherries, berries, touch of raisins. FLAVOR- slightly sweet and bitter, dark caramel, fruit, berries. Medium bodied.

Grainy malty dark caramel nose, some dark bread. Similar taste, a touch of spicy hops in the finish. Not bad, but not a porter. Ok, as a Dunkel.
