Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Is there an aroma? Dark brown. Thin beige head. Bitter but with an odd tang to it. Berries and vanilla coffee. Medium bodied. Slick mouth. Creamy long aftertaste. Odd. The taste just doesn’t work for me.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear deep brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is fresh, fruity, orange sherbet, peachy notes and brown bread. The taste is smooth, light woody bitterness, brown bread, dried berry, peppery spice and a touch of astringency with a dry, woody finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Great condition. An interesting mild.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Thin tangy malts. Tangy fruits and ripe fruits. Mild floral bitterness. Light dry finish. It’s inoffensive but milds like this make it no surprise the style nearly went extinct.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Dark autumnal red-brown color, clear though, with a small to average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, brown malts, caramel, leaves, some bitter. Meh. Don’t really like it.

Cask @ Muggleton Inn, Maidstone. Clear mid to dark brown in colour with a bubbly head. Has a lovely autumn-like aromas with a toffee infused roasted malt. It’s not quite as stated in its taste with its light texture clearly subduing the flavours.
