Cascade Kriek Ale spends over 6 months of lactic fermentation and aging in small oak barrels. This "Belgian Flanders Style Red Ale" is refermented with a blend of fresh whole Northwest cherries and then hand bottled. Cascade Kriek Ale is bottle fermented and should be refrigerated or stored at cellar temp and served at 45 to 50 degrees.

10/3/19: Yay, Cascade. Fun to compare it to the Cam one. Mad sour, tons of fruit. Cherry, woody, some lacticity. Less classic, more hardcore. A bit vinous. Awesome stuff.

2/11/19: Still so good and delicious. Heavy sour, buckets of cherry, juicy and jammy. Nice amount of oak and that typical Cascade sourness. Always a pleasure.

On tap. The last of the keg. A bit murky deep dulll reddish purple. Full deep funky sour cherry aroma. Woody vinous cherry tartness. A little vinegary and more woody earynsoirness. Great

Tap at zeezicht Breda, early 2019. Listed as oak aged kriek, 7.4 %. Pours dark red, médium small, rather white head. Smell is extremely full, rich cherry. Mild oak' robust, tart, and intense. Taste is full, cherry, intense, tart, perhaps a bit too sour and dry, full cherry Ness. Nice. But not balanced.
