Winter Seasonal. Brewed with 4 types of cherries, aged in oak for one year.
Cascade Kriek Ale spends over 6 months of lactic fermentation and aging in small oak barrels. This "Belgian Flanders Style Red Ale" is refermented with a blend of fresh whole Northwest cherries and then hand bottled. Cascade Kriek Ale is bottle fermented and should be refrigerated or stored at cellar temp and served at 45 to 50 degrees.

Bottle @ MBCC 2017. Pours red with a tan head. Aroma of malt, light sourness, yeast, wood, tart fruit, rich cherries. Flavor is rather sour, yeast, wood, tart fruit, cherries. Medium body, average carbonation, acidic finish. 130517

Tap @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration, 2017. Pours hazy red with a small creamy head. Tart, stomich acid, nail polisher and thankfully some intense fresh sweet and sour cherries.

MBCC. Hazy deep red brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, sour cherries and barnyard. Flavor is quite sweet and rather acidic. Dry and rather acidic finish. 130517

Vintage 2014. bourdeaux like color, small pink head. smells quite musty, barnyard, grassy, bit cheesy. not much fruit on this, but nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes musty, grassy, some wood, peppery, some light cherry, some funk, bit leathery. finishes rather dry and lightly sour with notes of cherries, grass and some musty notes. rather nice one, especially the taste is very nice. 7, 4, 8, 4, 16

Mbcc, red session. Deep red color, white head. Tartness, funk, cherries. Cherries, barnyard in flavor. Very tart and dry. Lovely.

Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal, mai-17: klar, dyp kirsebærrød med flott skum og herlig aroma og smak! Kirsebær, vanilje og brett i en elegant og superraffinert kropp. Dyprens av gane og svelg. Ren og intens. Kveldens beste. Og igjen fra flaske på Mi2 mai-18: kveldens siste, og en superb avslutning. Ingen tvil om at dette er et klasseøl.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear copper with little off-white head. Aroma of cherries, almonds, vanilla, acetone, horse stable, a little sulphur. Taste very sour with a little saltiness and sweetness. Medium bodied.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, as Cascade Kriek Northwest Sour Ale, ale aged in oak barrels with cherries, 2015 project. ABV is 7.1%. At Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brownish red colour, moderate to small off-white head with a peachy hue. Aroma of sour cherries, lactic acid, oak and farmhouse. Medium sour flavour, distinct notes of sour cherries, lactic acid and oak.
